Dethlab [DETHany+burnLAB] is the DJ moniker and latest collaboration between multi-disciplinary artists Bethany Shorb (who's photography has been used both on the pages of Industrial Nation, URB, and in arson investigations, bends circuits and makes noise as Toybreaker and with the collective God and His Bitches, designs costumes for film and the likes of Skinny Puppy, and has shown her design work as Cyberoptix all over the world) and Michael Doyle [Dorkwave/Burnlab] (who runs the webzine Burnlab.net, designs interactive environments and graphics, including Chemlab's Oxidizer LP and its upcoming remix collection, and co-founded the infamous DJ collective Dorkwave.)
Influenced by a combined ten years of art school and fueled by a steady diet of fine chocolate, quadruple espressos, bass synths and human flesh, Dethlab plays really good records really badly... and looks good doing it. With a penchant for thoroughly executed, and often self-parodying theatrics, Team Dethlab have played host to blood orgies, tea parties in abandoned factories and various other misguided uses of seemingly endless imagination and energy. Expect sounds that will move both your ass and internal organs.
